5 popular marketplaces to buy/sell websites in content niche

Empire Flippers and FE International are for bigger sites that generate at least 500 USD revenue per month. For sites generating less than 500 USD, here are the popular marketplaces:

1. Flippa

Around 2 years back, listing fee of starter websites less than 12 months old used to be 15$ + 10% success fee.

Next raised to 29$ + 15% success fee.

Currently it is 49$ + 10% success fee.

You pay the listing fee and get your site listed. This makes the process easier as unlike other marketplaces like MotionInvest, Trustiu, and Investors Club that carry due diligence before listing and if their condition not met, you are not allowed to list. Flippa is the most popular marketplace in flipping websites niche, and once listed, your listing definitely gets wide exposure. As per email conversation with the Trustiu team (not sharing screenshot as marked confidential), the criteria they use to publish a website in Trustiu is a website need it to have a net profit of at least $ 200/month on average in the last 12 months. The reason for that is because this is where their clients are showing the most interest. Currently the websites are being sold between 20 and 48 times their average monthly profit (average of the last 12 months). That is why this metric is so important on the websites they publish.

4. Investors Club & BizCanyon

Although like Empire Flippers and FE International, minimum $500 per month in net revenue is their minimum threshold, Investors Club has a Facebook Group if below the threshold and another marketplace they refer is Bizcanyon.com for starter sites.
